It is still HOT out there - Keep them COOL at Doggie Couture Shop!

Our temperatures are still on the rise and its not slowing down! Doggie Couture Shop wants to remind all of those Mom's and Dad's out there about the importance of keeping your pooch cool in the summer months. It is a KNOWN fact NOT to leave your pet outside for extended times during the summer months without shelter and water and in doing so - can have a sad outcome!

It is an absolute MUST to keep fresh, cool water for you doggie if she stays outside. A ceramic dog bowl like the Cane Lettered Water Bowl or a acrylic dog bowl like the Ice Blue Parrot Spill Less Bowl are your wisest choices since it will not absorb the sun's heat as quickly as a metal dog bowl. Be sure to sit it in a shady area and out of direct sunlight! You can also get one of the newest ways to feed or hydrate your dog and that is the .. elevated dog bowls. A great way to keep your dog's refreshments off the hot concrete or floor.

A few Freezy Pups Treats in Apple Juice could be added to the water for a new taste that also keep the water cool!

If your pup has an outdoor dog crate you could add a crate cooling mat... We have LOTS to choose from! Our new iCool Mat is a soft, gel mat that will stay cool regardless of body or outdoor temperatures. Also a Deluxe Thermostatic Crate Fan would be super helpful when trying to help your pooch beat the heat. The Scratch & Newton Ice Pod can be sat in the crate for nice, chilly place to lay.

We've also got Designer Cool It Bandana's. These keep me cool dog bandanas are made with non-toxic polymer crystals that can be soaked in cold water and wrapped around your pup's neck. It will stay cool for several hours and is edged with reflective tape for great visibility.

We ask that all pooch parents take in to consideration those high temps especially if their little one is outside! We want you to find something that will work for you AND your pet! We have great summer pet cooling products that will offer the optimal coolant for all doggies in any climate.

Check the American Kennel Club's website for summer safety tips for your pet. It is imperative as a pet owner that you be responsible and alert on the summer's danger's that could affect your dog.
